Lefty's Burger Shack: Your Go-To Spot for Juicy Burgers in University Place

My family and I come here often. They have great food and decent prices! We love the deluxe burgers and the onion rings. They also have a variety of other items, milkshakes etc. Don't forget to add some fry sauce to your order and if you have any extra fries, make sure and feed them to the seagull that hangs out. ;)

I have a big family and we ordered quite a bit. The burgers were amazing. The bacon actually had flavor to it, not just bland texture. Onion rings and fries were also really good with crunchy texture and just the right amount of salt. I had four different flavors of milkshakes. They all tasted great. The food was all cooked perfectly. The staff was extremely friendly and had good vibes. I will definitely be coming back!

I tried their Bacon Cheese burger ($6.75), a Double Cheese burger ($7.95) and a Raspberry milkshake ($5.25). Everything tasted good, especially the double cheese burger. The cheese melted around the patty and made it taste kinda creamy. The milkshake was great. It was quite busy, we waited for about 20 minutes. They have plenty of parking and about 7 picnic tables.

It’s a Mom and pop vibe burger place in a random parking lot and I love it!! The milkshakes are incredible! The onion rings are my favorite! This is a walk up to the window style establishment, there are a few picnic tables for waiting outside but other than that, you can just wait in your car, but you would have to listen for them to call your name. Totally worth a stop!

I love Lefty’s, I just had to dock a star because it takes so long, even if there’s not a ton of people. You may as well go out to sit in a restaurant. And they are very hard to get ahold of on the phone so you can’t even place an order ahead of time. I wish it didnt take so long because I don’t always have 25 minutes to wait in a parking lot, but I love the food and people!

Was not quite sure at first, but two police officers came in and had lunch. So I said, this must be a good place to eat. And absolutely the people helping me were so nice. And this service was excellent.I would recommend Lefty,s.

HITS THE SPOT ~ My son and I while out exploring the back roads on our Harleys when we found this little joint. Plenty of parking and had that old burger joint feel. The woman taking our order was friendly and making us laugh. There were about 29 people in front of us but the line kept moving. The food took longer than a fast food establishment. But when you got your order. It was well worth the wait. The fries were perfect golden and fluffy on the inside. The dogs were perfectly cooked and juicy. And the burger was spot on. We will be back that’s for sure.

We seen Lefty's on Facebook and had to come down and give it a try. I've lived in Tacoma most of my life and never knew of this place. The Deluxe bacon cheeseburger was delicious we truly liked that they have a French fry and onion rings mixed choice. The onion rings are really good. My granddaughter enjoyed her chicken and fries. Next trip down we will try the shakes. Looks like they have a wide variety. No inside seating but some outside seating. We will definitely be back soon.
